An Unconventional Trend

Eiffel-Tower-in-Paris-FranceFresh off my European vacation, I am obsessed with all the Fall fashion I saw in the windows of Dior, Versace and Gucci to name just a few. However, I first must share the trends I saw on all the beautiful ladies I saw walking the boulevards.

Summer fashion came in all sizes, colors and patterns in Europe. The women there wore cute little fedoras or huge floppy hats, not a sun visor or baseball cap in sight. They wore beautifully tailored sleek skinny trousers in all shades of the rainbow, flowing summer dresses cut on the bias showing off their tan legs, and super cool harem pants. Yes, I said harem pants. Some were cropped below the knee while others flowed long and leisurely around their feet. As accessories, their wrists were adorned with a multitude of colorful and embellished leather and cord bracelets. On their well traveled feet, they had beautifully simple ballet flats in all hues and of course the obligatory summer trend of the wedge. All of this fashion was in one way expected, as I know European women are usually very fashion savvy, however they did give me a little surprise.
The summer bootie!

As temps skyrocketed through Europe, the ladies did not give up their little booties. I saw them crocheted, with fringe and/or bedazzled. They combined them with their summer dresses, short shorts, and their slim legged trousers. Again the colors here ranged through all hues.

I must give the European women credit, they are not afraid to wear color or keep their trends alive. Let us learn from our sisters across the pond and enjoy the rest of our summer with an abundance of color and unconventional trends!
